OVERVIEW:

SILTT is searching for a dynamic and highly motivated Site Security Guard responsible for providing continuous protection and monitoring of a Network Operations Center (NOC) facility to ensure the safety of personnel, assets, and information systems. Operating within a mission-critical environment, the Security Guard enforces access control, conducts perimeter patrols, monitors CCTV systems, and responds to alarms or security incidents according to established procedures. This position plays a key role in maintaining a secure operating environment for the NOCs 24x7 network operations. A DAY IN THE LIFE:

In this role, you will support a high-impact Network Operations Center that forms the backbone of enterprise service delivery. This role provides the opportunity to ensure safety and security while maintaining customer trust and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Access Control and Visitor Management:

• Monitor and control access to all entry/exit points of the NOC facility.
• Verity employee credentials, contractor badges, and visitor authorization.
• Issue and recover visitor badges, ensuring compliance with security policy.
• Maintain accurate access and visitor logs in both electronic and written form.

2. Patrols and Surveillance:

• Conduct scheduled and random patrols of the NOC perimeter, parking areas, loading docks, and secure zones.
• Monitor CCTV and intrusion detection systems; report and document anomalies immediately.
• Ensure all entry points, doors, and restricted areas remain secured.
• Respond to alarm activations and coordinate with the Site Security Manager or law enforcement as needed.

3. Incident Response and Reporting:

• Act as a first responder to on-site security, fire, or safety incidents.
• Follow established escalation protocols and contact the appropriate emergency responders.
• Complete accurate incident, activity, and shift reports; log any irregularities.
• Support Disaster Recovery (DR) and evacuation procedures when required.

4. Policy Compliance and Coordination:

• Enforce company security, safety, and confidentiality policies across all NOC staff, contractors, and visitors.
• Support compliance audits and maintain readiness for unannounced inspections.
• Coordinate closely with Facilities, NOC Operations, and the Site Security Manager to maintain operational continuity.

5. Customer Service and Representation:

• Serve as a professional front-line representative for all personnel and visitors entering the site.
• Provide courteous assistance while maintaining enforcement authority.
• Communicate effectively via radio, phone, or email across multiple shifts.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in security or law enforcement .
• 2+ years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military - data center or mission-critical site experience desirable.
• Valid state security guard license or certification as required by local jurisdiction.
• Familiarity with access control, CCTV, alarm, and incident management systems (Lenel, Genetec, Honeywell, etc.).
• Ability to remain alert, observant, and professional during long shifts and in emergency conditions.
• Must pass background check; eligible for site-specific clearances as required.
• CPR/First Aid and fire safety training .

WORK LOCATION:

The work associated with this role is expected to be performed on-site at our San Diego Area location, though some travel may be required for periodic support as needed.
