About the Role

The Site Start Up Manager is responsible for developing the plan, procuring equipment and implementing system(s) to enable the quick and effective ramp of scale manufacturing of datacenter products for hyperscale customers (including managing the procurement of equipment, site readiness, capacity planning, scale manufacturing monitor and tracking, and ergonomic systems for all facilities producing hyperscale products).

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee and facilitate site start up planning that includes the understanding of processes and equipment needed to manufacture datacenter products at scale in a safe, high-quality, efficient, and customer-focused manner.
  • Function as the single point of all contact for all spend authorization and tracking by maintaining the Start-up capex tracker and ensure overall project is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Develop, track and communicate progress against site startup plan to senior leadership
  • Partner with site management bring manufacturing processes on-line in an accelerated manner
  • Lead and supervise all construction and capex related items to ensure unnecessary capital outlay is minimized and timely delivery of projected returns.
  • Manage the procurement and commissioning of the Manufacturing equipment, systems and processes for the new facility and accelerate the start-up of the new facility
  • Ensures a Site plan for production of customer demand directed at the new site is matched to sufficient supply by ensuring highly agile and flexible production processes are integrated into Tate’s network of internal and external production
  • Collaborate with Operations and Quality to ensure the procured equipment and systems are deployed, documented, and implemented per ISO guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to develop the operations functions using a data-based approach, ensuring Engineered systems for large scale production in a safe and high-quality manner.
  • Aggressive systems deployment to minimize manufacturing overheads to ensure best in class see through cost base.
  • Drive the Step-Change and Continuous Improvement programs to drive the organization's competitive position and the profitability of operations.
  • Targets and achieves Grade 1 on Corporate internal factory audits.
  • Maintains awareness of individual contribution to and impact of the quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies and activities; reports all quality issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to the proper personnel.

Additional Expectation

  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
  • Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
  • Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
  • Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.

What You’ll Bring

  • BA/BS in industrial, mechanical, or business administration, or a 4-year technical degree in related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing management, preferably in a process-oriented operation and/or related industry.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing a significant segment of a large manufacturer or the entire operation of a smaller manufacturer.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Outlook
  • Must possess valid driver license.
  • High level of interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
