Small Works Project Manager (Mechanical / MEP)\n\nUK (London & surrounding regions)\n\n£55,000 - £80,000 + package (car allowance, bonus, pension)\n\nRole Overview\n\nResponsible for managing multiple small works, mechanical and MEP projects (typically £10k-£500k) across commercial and FM environments. Deliver projects safely, on time, within budget and to client standards.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nManage full project lifecycle from quotation to handover\nDeliver mechanical small works, refurbishments and reactive projects\nCoordinate subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour\nProduce and manage programmes, RAMS and project documentation\nEnsure HSE compliance in line with SMSTS standards\nMonitor project costs, variations and profitability\nAct as primary client contact and maintain strong relationships\nOversee commissioning, snagging and final handover\n\nExperience Required\n\n5-10+ years in mechanical / MEP project delivery\nProven experience managing small works or fit-out projects\nBackground in commercial, healthcare or FM environments\nExperience in Cat A / Cat B fit-out and refurbishment works\nStrong subcontractor and stakeholder management\nAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously\n\nQualifications\n\nNVQ Level 6 (or equivalent) in Construction Management\nSMSTS (essential)\nMechanical trade background (HVAC / pipefitting/plumbing )\n\nKey Skills\n\nProgramme and resource management\nStrong commercial awareness (variations, cost control)\nHSE leadership and compliance\nClient-facing communication\nProblem-solving and delivery focus\n\nDesirable\n\nExperience in live environments / occupied buildings\nKnowledge of / maintenance-led projects\nExposure to data centres or healthcare projects\n\nPackage / Benefits\n\nCar allowance or company vehicle\nPerformance bonus\nPension scheme\n25 days holiday + bank holidays\nCareer progression within a growing businessWR HVAC | M&E are #1 recruitment partner for HVAC jobs.
