Smart Buildings Consultant / BMS Engineer

London or Remote (UK / Europe Projects)

Tekifi is a specialist smart buildings and building systems consultancy working on landmark developments across the UK and Europe.

We help clients design and deliver future-ready buildings by integrating building systems, data and digital infrastructure. Our work spans BMS, lighting control, energy systems, ICT integration and smart building platforms, supporting developers, landlords and design teams to create smarter, more efficient buildings.

We are looking for a technically strong engineer who wants to play a key role in shaping the next of smart buildings.

The Role

You will work across a range of high-profile projects supporting the design, integration and delivery of smart building systems.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the design and specification of smart building and building systems architectures
  • Advising on BMS, lighting control, metering, energy systems and ICT integration
  • Working with MEP engineers, developers, landlords and technology vendors
  • Producing technical documentation, specifications and system architecture diagrams
  • Supporting tendering, procurement and technical evaluations
  • Contributing to commissioning, integration and system performance validation
  • Helping clients define smart building strategies and digital infrastructure

You will work directly with senior consultants and clients, gaining exposure to major developments and complex building systems integration.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for engineers who combine strong technical fundamentals with curiosity about smart buildings and digital systems.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • A degree in Engineering, Building Services, Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Experience with BMS, controls, building systems or smart building technologies
  • Understanding of building services systems (HVAC, electrical, lighting, energy systems)
  • Exposure to controls integration, building networks or digital infrastructure
  • Strong technical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to communicate with both technical teams and clients

Location

London based with remote and hybrid working arrangements available.

Some travel to project meetings may be required.
