Position Overview

Are you passionate about designing cutting-edge technology solutions that bridge business needs with secure, scalable, and modern infrastructure? Razor Technology is looking for a Solutions Sales Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, youll be the trusted technical advisor who helps shape and deliver innovative solutions across infrastructure, cloud, and security portfolios.

Working side-by-side with Account Executives, engineering teams, and customers, youll play a critical role throughout the sales cycle from discovery and solution design to customer presentations and successful project handoff. This is a customer-facing role where your technical expertise, communication skills, and business acumen will directly impact Razors success and growth.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Sales & Solution Design

  • Partner with Account Executives to understand business drivers, technical requirements, and customer challenges.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions to assess environments and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Architect solutions in areas such as:
    • Virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix)
    • Razor Cloud services (IaaS, DRaaS, BaaS)
    • Multi-cloud integrations (Azure, AWS, etc.)
    • Enterprise networking (LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, wireless)
    • Network security (firewalls, segmentation, VPN, Zero Trust)
    • Server architectures (on-premises, hybrid, converged/hyperconverged)
  • Develop solution diagrams, bills of materials (BOMs), and scopes of work (SOWs).
  • Validate designs with vendors and ensure alignment with best practices.
  • Deliver impactful customer presentations, workshops, and technical Q&A sessions.

Collaboration & Project Handoff

  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure seamless transitions from pre-sales to delivery.
  • Support Project Managers with technical insights during planning and execution.
  • Coordinate with third-party partners when needed.

Technical Expertise & Continuous Improvement

  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Provide insights to leadership on solution gaps, market demands, and innovation opportunities.

Customer & Business Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with customer IT and business leaders.
  • Support sales strategy development to grow Razors infrastructure and cloud portfolio.
  • Strengthen vendor and partner relationships to enhance delivery capabilities.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in a Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, or senior technical sales role.
  • Expertise in virtualization, cloud services, networking, network security, and server architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with multi-cloud, DRaaS, BaaS, and hybrid deployments.
  • Knowledge of data center networking, security frameworks, and compliance.
  • Strong communication skills: technical presentations, proposals, and customer-facing engagements.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • certifications: Nutanix, VMware, Microsoft Azure, Veeam, Cisco, Fortinet (or similar).
