Specialty Engineer I – Raleigh, NC (Hybrid)
Join a leading digital infrastructure organization focused on designing and delivering scalable telecommunications solutions across the U.S. This role sits within a Specialty Engineering team responsible for developing infrastructure designs supporting telecom facilities, including civil site development, in-building systems, power infrastructure, network connectivity, and small data center environments. This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity offering exposure to cutting-edge telecom and infrastructure projects.
This is a great opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience across multiple engineering disciplines while contributing to real-world network deployments. You’ll take ownership of engineering design tasks, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help build the backbone of next- connectivity—while continuing to grow your technical skillset in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- 1–4+ years of relevant experience depending on degree type
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Exposure to telecom, construction, or infrastructure engineering
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and code compliance
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Desired Skills
- Experience with Civil 3D, Revit, or iBwave
- Telecommunications tower design or analysis experience
- Field or construction engineering experience (steel structures )
- Knowledge of stormwater, structural, mechanical, or electrical design
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification
- Experience with computational analysis (e.g., heat load, drainage, structural)

- Digital twin / design documentation systems
Daily Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end engineering design tasks for telecom infrastructure projects
- Develop and implement specialty engineering designs (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and network systems)
- Perform engineering analyses and code compliance research
- Prepare construction drawings for land development, buildings, and network infrastructure
- Conduct site walks and gather site-specific data to inform design strategies
- Support design validation to ensure technical requirements are met
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors, including survey providers
- Review and manage project documentation, including digital twin updates post-construction
- Triage and support low- to moderately complex projects
- Continuously learn and apply new technologies and engineering practices
Additional Details
- Up to 30% travel required
- Salary range: $65,000–$80,000 annually
