EMEA Specialist Solutions Architecture Leader — Core Services, EMEA WWSO GTM Specialists

As the Specialist Solutions Architecture (SSA) Leader for Core Services across EMEA, you will lead an elite team of specialist solutions architects who are the definitive technical authority on AWS's foundational infrastructure services — Compute, Accelerated Compute, HPC, Security, Networking, and Storage. Your team partners with AWS's regional sales organization to accelerate adoption, but your personal impact extends far beyond: you will be a trusted technical advisor in C-suite conversations, helping customers architect for AI at scale and connecting infrastructure decisions to business outcomes.

Reporting directly to the EMEA Specialists Leader, you will own the regional strategy for specialist resource investment, customer engagement priorities, and technical adoption across current and emerging services. You will influence AWS's global product roadmap by amplifying the voice of EMEA's most strategic customers — and you will build, coach, and retain a high-performing team of elite technical leaders who set the standard for customer obsession and technical excellence.

The team provides field leadership with deep domain expertise spanning Compute, Accelerated Compute, High Performance Computing (HPC), Security, Networking, Storage, and related infrastructure services. A key dimension of this role is helping customers understand how these foundational services underpin and enable AI/ML workloads — ensuring infrastructure readiness, performance optimization, and security posture as customers scale their AI ambitions.

Key job responsibilities
Lead and develop a high-performing specialist team
• Build, coach, and retain a team of specialist Solutions Architects, fostering a culture of technical excellence, customer obsession, and continuous learning
• Set the technical bar for the team and create development paths that grow deep domain experts into broader technical leaders
Drive customer outcomes through technical leadership
• Develop strategic relationships with customers' technical leaders, driving executive-level conversations that connect AWS infrastructure capabilities to business and technical objectives
• Guide customers on infrastructure decisions for AI-ready environments — accelerated compute sizing, HPC architecture, security posture, and performance optimization — in close coordination with the AI regional and WW teams
• Act as a trusted technical advisor in C-suite discussions, helping customers navigate complex infrastructure modernization and transformation initiatives
Shape regional GTM strategy for core and accelerated compute
• Define and execute the EMEA specialist engagement strategy across Compute, Accelerated Compute, HPC, and Security domains
• Identify and prioritize high-impact customer opportunities, aligning specialist resources to the highest-value engagements across the region
• Partner with cross-functional teams across Solutions Architecture, Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Partners, and Training to execute regional adoption programs
Be the voice of the EMEA customer
• Capture and amplify customer feedback to the Worldwide Specialist Organization and product/service teams, directly influencing AWS technology roadmaps and GTM strategy
• Identify patterns in customer needs across the region to inform product priorities, especially at the intersection of core infrastructure and AI/ML workloads
Represent AWS as a technical thought leader
• Represent AWS in executive-level discussions, public speaking engagements, industry events, and written content that demonstrates how AWS infrastructure delivers customer value
• Guide the development of whitepapers, reference architectures, and customer-facing content that shares best practices across the domain areas
