Title- - Sr Network Architect (Level 3 & 4 support)
Location- Brea, CA, Need , Onsite 5 days
Duration: 5 months
Serve as Tier 3/4 support resource (IT Escalation). On Call Rotation.
Primary: Palo Alto, Cisco ISE, Wireless, SDWAN
Secondary: F5, ZScaler
Required Skills:
- Network Engineer 8+ years of experience in Core network & DC Operations across PaloAlto & Cisco firewalls, Cisco Routers & Switches, Cisco ISE, VeloCl
- Configuring & managing Cisco Routers, switches, Palo Alto & Cisco Firewalls, F5 Load balancers, VPN, NAC solution ( Cisco ISE )
- Strong network design skills for campus and data center environments; expertise in segmentation, resiliency, and secure architectures.
- Hands-on expertise with major vendors: switching/routing (Cisco), SD-WAN, firewalls (Palo Alto or equivalent), wireless (Cisco), NAC solutions.
- Experience building and operating server rooms/data rooms (rack/power/cooling/cabling), and coordinating with facilities and local contractors.
- Security-first mindset: Zero Trust, 802.1X, micro-segmentation; adherence to change governance (ITIL).
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills; ability to lead vendors and on-site technicians.
- Relevant certifications : CCNP Enterprise (or equivalent), PCNSE, ITIL.
Job Description:
- Possess a strong understanding of routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and IPsec for secure and efficient network communications.
- Strong experience with support of SDWAN solution (Velo cloud)
- Expert level experience in Cisco Data Center and Campus Switching and routing.
- Demonstrate expert-level knowledge of networking technologies, WAN communications, and security concepts, including TCP/IP, QoS, MPLS, DMVPN and IPSec.
- Configure and manage Palo Alto firewalls, Panorama, Cisco ASA firewalls, including advanced features like threat prevention, S2S VPNs, remote VPN solution, and security policies, F5 load balancers.
- Troubleshooting experience on SDWAN velo cloud, routing / Switching protocols, security, VPN issues.
- Experience with Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) and Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX) or similar solutions is a plus
- Ability to implement design architecture objectives that align with client demand & business goals
- Participate in the deployment of complex solutions, create written deliverables, and conduct client workshops
- Monitor and maintain network security, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Proven knowledge of ITIL framework and service management practices\ good understanding of Change process
- High degree of flexibility and willing to work in rotational shifts including night shifts and on-call.
- Effective communication skills. Should be able to deal with users from across the regions
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex issues and provide effective solutions.
