TGR Erectors is a top tier steel erection company based out of the DFW area serving all of Texas and neighboring states.We provide pre-construction and erection services to multiple sectors ranging from Educational Facilities, Data Centers, Food Processing, Warehouses, Performing Arts, Grand Churches, Retail, Community Recreation, Office Buildings, and more.
We are currently seeking Steel Erection Foremen.
TheSteel Erection Foremanis responsible for supervising and working alongside crew members to erect structural steel safely, efficiently, and according to plans. This position requires strong leadership skills, a working knowledge of steel erection methods and tools, and the ability to ensure safety and quality standards are met on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead steel erection crew in lifting, aligning, and bolting steel components.
- Interpret erection drawings, shop drawings, and field sketches to guide crew operations.
- Coordinate with crane operators, riggers, welders, and other trades on-site.
- Monitor work for compliance with OSHA regulations and enforce company safety procedures.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and job hazard assessments.
- Ensure safe rigging, signaling, and lifting procedures are followed.
- Plan and sequence work efficiently to meet project deadlines.
- Perform hands-on tasks such as bolting up, welding (if certified), rigging, and layout.
- Inspect connections, materials, and work progress regularly.
- Communicate effectively with the Superintendent regarding progress, issues, and changes.
- Complete and submit daily reports, timecards, and safety forms.
Qualifications:
- 35 years of experience in steel erection, with at least 12 years in a leadership or foreman role.
- Strong working knowledge of rigging, crane signaling, fall protection, and erection safety standards.
- Ability to read and understand structural blueprints and erection plans.
- Familiarity with tools and equipment used in steel erection (e.g., torque wrenches, spud wrenches, aerial lifts).
- OSHA 30 certification required.
- Rigger/Signal Person certification .
- Welding certifications a plus but not required.
- Ability to work at heights, lift heavy materials, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
- Must be able to pass a Drug test and a Background check
Working Conditions:
- Outdoor construction sites in various weather conditions.
- Requires climbing, lifting, working at heights, and operating hand/power tools.
- Overtime and weekend work may be required depending on project schedule.
