Stock Condition Surveyor

Southern Housing is looking for a Stock Condition Surveyor to join our team on a 2-year Fixed Term Contract/Secondment and to support a key project across our housing portfolio.Reporting to the Survey Programme Manager , you will undertake a wide range of property surveys across Southern Housings portfolio using handheld technology. Your work will provide accurate, high-quality data to support investment programmes, business planning, compliance, and long-term financial forecasting.You will carry out stock condition surveys , HHSRS assessments , Decent Homes assessments , EPC assessments , and RdSAP data collection , as well as other survey types as needed. You will also support digital infrastructure works, inspect installations, review contractor performance, and ensure works are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

This is a varied, field-based role that requires strong technical knowledge, excellent customer service, and a collaborative approach.What you will be doing:Undertaking home condition surveys to dwellings, blocks, and estatesAssessing homes against the Decent Homes Standard and HHSRSCarrying out EPC assessments and collecting RdSAP dataIdentifying hazards and urgent repair needsUpdating asset management systems with accurate property dataSupporting digital infrastructure projects and contractor oversightProviding technical advice and maintaining excellent customer care with residentsThis role can be based in London, Kent or Isle of Wight and requires sites visits on a daily basis.What you will need:Experience in stock condition / home condition surveyingStrong knowledge of Decent Homes and HHSRSDEA qualified and able to complete EPC assessments (desirable)Understanding of asset data, investment planning, and complianceStrong communication, customer service, and IT skillsSocial housing experience (desirable)A valid DL and access to your car for business needs is requiredIn your supporting statement, it is important that you address how you meet each of the above seven criteria providing real examples.?Closing Date : 12th of July 2026 (Sunday) at 23:59Shortlisting Date : from 15th of July 2026Interview Dates : week commencing 20th of July 2026Applying for roles with usAbout usAt Southern Housing, our are at the heart of everything we do.
