Storage Engineer - 6 Month Contract - Birmingham (Hybrid) - £650pd (Inside IR35)\n\nA fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Storage Engineer to join our Birmingham based global law firm on a initial 6 month contract basis.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProvide SME-level support across storage infrastructure, mentoring junior team members in storage technologies\nManage and maintain server, storage, and virtualisation platforms within a data centre environment\nPerform storage presentations, host migrations, device expansions, and VM-related engineering tasks\nReverse engineer environments from virtual machines, filter VMs, and manage legacy storage transitions\nWork across technologies including Dell PowerMax, Dell EMC Isilon, Cisco MDS Fabric, VMware, and legacy HyperFlex nodes\nDevelop and execute scripts using PowerCLI and PowerShell to support automation and system management\nOperate across multiple time zones, managing concurrent tasks and priorities effectively\nSupport out-of-hours change windows (evenings/weekends) as required\n\nKey Experience\n\nStrong expertise in enterprise storage platforms (Dell PowerMax, Dell EMC Isilon)\nSolid experience with server infrastructure and virtualisation technologies, particularly VMware\nProficiency in scripting (PowerShell, PowerCLI) for automation and administration\nExperience with Cisco MDS Fabric switches and broader data centre networking concepts\nFamiliarity with SQL Server and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow\nProven ability to work in complex, multi-region environments with overlapping time zones\nExperience mentoring or supporting junior engineers within infrastructure teams\nComfortable working occasional out-of-hours change windows without on-call requirements\n\nStorage Engineer - 6 Month Contract - Birmingham (Hybrid) - £650pd (Inside IR35)\n\nIn accordance with the Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003, this position is advertised based upon DGH Recruitment Limited having first sought approval of its client to find candidates for this position.\n\nDGH Recruitment Limited acts as both an Employment Agency and Employment Business
