Strategic Sourcing Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Strategic Sourcing Specialist to support expanding global procurement and supply chain operations across North America, Europe and Asia. These roles will report to the Director of Supply Chain and will play a critical role in developing sourcing strategies, strengthening supplier partnerships, improving supply continuity, reducing cost, and supporting rapid manufacturing growth.

The ideal candidate is analytical, commercially minded, highly organized, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth manufacturing environment with global suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned commodities, components, raw materials, and services
  • Identify, qualify, onboard, and develop domestic and international suppliers
  • Lead supplier RFQ/RFP processes, bid analysis, negotiations, and supplier selection decisions
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, lead times, MOQs, and long-term supply agreements
  • Drive year-over-year cost savings, working capital improvements, and supply chain efficiency initiatives
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews focused on quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost competitiveness
  • Partner closely with engineering, operations, planning, quality, and manufacturing teams to support production growth and new product introduction
  • Monitor commodity markets, tariffs, logistics risks, geopolitical impacts, and global supply market trends
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies including dual sourcing, supplier diversification, inventory strategies, and localization initiatives
  • Support supplier development efforts including capacity planning, manufacturing readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain sourcing documentation, supplier agreements, and ERP procurement data integrity
  • Support make-vs-buy analysis and total cost of ownership evaluations

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field
  • 3–7+ years of sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or purchasing experience within industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Strong supplier negotiation and commercial management experience
  • Experience sourcing metals, fabricated assemblies, cable/wire harnesses, electrical systems, electromechanical components, or industrial manufacturing commodities
  • Understanding of global sourcing, international logistics, tariffs, and supplier risk management
  • Strong ERP/MRP and Excel capabilities
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing, thermal systems, data center infrastructure, or engineered products
  • Experience working with global suppliers across Europe, Mexico, and Asia
  • Familiarity with supplier development and quality systems
  • APICS, CPSM, CPM, or related certifications are a plus

Supervisor Responsibility:

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel may be required for this position.
