A specialist Structural Engineering consultancy with 5 offices globally, is seeking a commercially minded Structural Engineering Associate Director or Director to manage and grow their office in Manchester.
This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious, client-facing Chartered Structural Engineer who wants to drive growth, manage P&L, and act as the face of the company in the region, leveraging their established network of architectural connections and clients.
As the successful Structural Engineering Director, you will:
- Be responsible for leading the expansion of the Manchester office;
- Use your extensive contacts to secure new business, focusing on business development and growth for the consultancy, and have full P&L responsibility for the unit;
- Lead and mentor a team of Structural Engineers;
- Still maintain hands-on responsibilities, required to review and support work across the team, aiming for above 70% billable work.
We are looking for a Structural Associate Director or Director with a proven track record in both technical excellence and commercial success:
- Must be Chartered with either ICE or IStructE;
- Previous experience with P&L responsibility is essential;
- Proven ability in managing a team;
- Strong existing contacts in the region, particularly architectural connections;
- Experience across a range of sectors, including: Data centres (up to £1.5 billion), commercial, Network Rail (Bridges & Platforms), RC frame residential, hospitality, education, healthcare, and smaller residential alterations.
