Location: Itasca, IL
Compensation: $22–$28/hr (up to $30/hr based on experience) + significant overtime
Schedule: 1st Shift | 5:00 AM – 4:30 PM (typical), Saturdays as needed
Employment: Contract-to-Hire with strong long-term potential

Picture this: a complex, custom enclosure destined for a high-profile data center. Sheet metal panels must marry a structural frame within a fraction of a millimeter. You review the latest blueprint revision, prep your materials, and guide an overhead crane to position the assembly. Your MIG welds are clean, accurate, and consistent—because the integrity of a critical system depends on them. That’s the standard here.

About the Work

• Build custom industrial enclosures for large-scale data center infrastructure
• Own the process end-to-end: layout → fit-up → weld → assembly
• Interpret complex mechanical drawings for large assemblies
• Hold tight tolerances using tape measures, calipers, and micrometers
• Operate saws, grinders, drills, and overhead cranes safely
• Validate alignment and structural integrity before sign-off

What You’ll Need

• 3–5+ years of welding/fabrication (non-production environment )
• Advanced blueprint reading skills
• MIG required; TIG is a plus
• Mechanical assembly experience (highly )
• Comfort working overtime when projects ramp (up to 60–65 hrs/week)
