Structured Cabling Engineer (Smart Buildings)\n\nLondon (Zones 1–2)\nUp to £40,000\n Full-time\n\nOverview\n\nWe’re looking for a Structured Cabling Engineer to support the delivery of smart building projects across London, working within commercial offices, studios, and data centre environments.\n\nThe role centres around the installation and support of copper and fibre cabling infrastructure, while also providing exposure to a range of modern building technologies such as wireless networks, IoT devices, AV systems, and electronic security. You’ll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered to a high technical standard, from initial install through to testing, fault finding, and ongoing support.\n\nThis opportunity offers the chance to join a business focused on developing its engineers through ongoing training, recognised certifications, and long-term progression, within a collaborative and professional environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCarry out installation and termination of copper and fibre cabling systems\nDeliver structured cabling solutions across commercial and technical environments\nInstall containment systems including conduit, basket, tray, and trunking\nInstall and connect network hardware within cabinets and comms rooms\nDeploy smart building devices such as wireless access points, IoT sensors, AV and security equipment\nConduct testing and certification using Fluke equipment\nAssist with system commissioning, diagnostics, and fault resolution\nMaintain accurate paperwork and ensure compliance with health & safety standards\n\nRequirements\n\nAt least 3 years’ experience within structured cabling or ICT infrastructure\nSolid background in copper and fibre installations\nECS or CSCS card\nIndustry qualification (BICSI, CNet or equivalent)\nFull UK driving licence\n\nAbout You\n\nSelf-sufficient with a strong hands-on approach\nGood problem-solving skills and attention to detail\nComfortable working across different environments and sites\nMotivated to develop into broader smart building technologies\n\nPackage\n\nSalary up to £40,000\nStandard 40-hour working week\nOvertime and occasional weekend work\nTraining, development and certification support\nINDP
