cer Financial are working alongside an international bank who are based in the City of London. They are seeking a Structured Finance Associate to work with them on a permanent basis.

The responsibilities of the Structured Finance Associate will include:

  • Sale and execution of project finance transactions within the renewables and infrastructure sectors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, investors, and stakeholders, identifying opportunities for collaboration and tailored financial solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic initiatives in energy and infrastructure financing, enhancing the bank's market position.
  • This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in structuring and executing complex financing solutions.
  • Experience and knowledge of the markets, products, clients and processes required in delivering PF transactions.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and develop financial models to assess project feasibility, risk, and return on investment.
  • Working with a network of client and advisor relationships across the sector with the propose of gaining and maintaining knowledge to successfully complete new project opportunities.
  • Source in the identification and development of new business opportunities.
  • Controlling the pitching process, including preparation of bid packages, pitch books, pricing & profitability assessments, ratings.
  • Participate in the negotiation of client mandates, advisor appointments and project and finance documentation.
  • Assist in carrying out financial analysis, risk analysis and other project specific due diligence.
  • Assist with the preparation of internal resource and credit application.
  • Assist with other internal stakeholders, including Distribution, Agency, Compliance, Portfolio Management, Legal.
  • Work closely with legal, risk management, and operational teams to ensure seamless project execution and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Negotiation of client mandates, advisor appointments and project and finance documentation.
  • Carrying out financial analysis, risk analysis and other project specific due diligence.
  • Preparation of internal resource and credit application packages
  • Maintain awareness of and comply with, relevant procedures, tools and processes.

The successful Structured Finance Associate will have:

  • Proficiency in German or French is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in project finance, with a strong focus on clean technology, data centre and digital infrastructure projects
  • Good familiarity of project finance structures, cash flow models and documentation
  • Solid understanding of the energy and infrastructure sectors, including relevant market trends and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proficient in MS Office package (desirable)
