Role Details:
- Role: Superintendent - Data Center
- Type: Long-term stability: Full-time (permanent)
- Pay: $Up to 175k base pay
- Location: Kansas City, MO
- About: Lead on-site construction operations for large-scale, mission-critical data center expansion projects, managing scheduling, safety, and coordination within an active, high-security facility environment
Qualifications:
- 2-5+ years of construction project superindent experience
- Data Center experience
- Equivalent combinations of education and hands-on experience considered
- Deep understanding of construction means, methods, sequencing, and materials
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and contracts
- Experienced with layout, line and grade, and surveying methods
- Familiar with cost control processes and basic accounting procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Responsibilities:
- Lead Field Operations: Serve as the primary on-site liaison between ownership, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Schedule & Plan: Create and execute comprehensive project schedules, identifying critical path activities and ensuring timely delivery of materials, equipment, and labor to keep projects on track and within budget.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and develop field staff, promote a collaborative culture, and provide mentorship and performance feedback to build a high-performing construction team.
- Safety Champion: Develop and enforce a proactive site-specific safety plan. Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, codes, and company standards, fostering a zero-incident environment.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work is executed to the highest standards of quality, in accordance with contract documents, specifications, and best practices. Manage inspections, testing, and approval processes including mock-ups.
- Problem Solver: Identify and resolve project challenges swiftly, from design clarifications and labor concerns to material delays and scheduling conflicts, to keep work progressing efficiently.
- Site Operations Management: Oversee site logistics, equipment, subcontractor workforces, temporary facilities, and general site conditions. Manage general requirements and conditions to support field productivity and budget control.
