Superintendent Mission Critical / Data Center Projects

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionFindTalent is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on mission-critical construction projects, with a focus on data center environments. This role is responsible for delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality and coordination across all site activities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction, proven leadership experience, and the ability to manage complex builds involving multiple trades and tight schedules. This position plays a critical role from site mobilization through project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily on-site construction activities and manage field teams and subcontractors.
  • Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all site safety standards and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, including short-term lookahead plans.
  • Coordinate site logistics, inspections, testing, and permitting requirements.
  • Track labor productivity, material usage, and overall cost performance.
  • Review subcontractor work progress and support payment approvals in coordination with project management.
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance and quality control processes.
  • Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and daily reports.
  • Lead or participate in coordination and progress meetings with project stakeholders.
  • Support preconstruction activities such as planning and constructability reviews.
  • Ensure proper site setup, utilities, and operational readiness during project startup.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8–12+ years of construction experience, with field leadership responsibility on complex projects.
  • Experience delivering medium to large-scale commercial or industrial projects.
  • Data center or mission-critical project experience strongly .
  • Solid understanding of MEP systems and coordination.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and shop submittals.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing assistant superintendents or field teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management tools.
