Our client, who is a leading distribution company in Kenosha, WI,/ Pleasant Prairie area is looking for a full-time onsite Systems Architect to lead the design and architecture of enterprise systems, including IBM i, open systems, and storage platforms. This role involves collaborating across disciplines to define scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure solutions that align with business and technical requirements. We are looking for an experienced professional with 8+ years of experience working with multiple operating systems and enterprise infrastructure. Relevant certifications in system architecture or infrastructure technologies are a plus. This position mainly focuses on working with system upgrades and introducing new technology and a large focus on expanding data center. Must be able to work onsite 5 days a week in Kenosha, WI. - This is a direct hire w2 position! Must have 5 years of recent on-premise experience. Client is requiring a very stable work history. Prefer role that have been W2 and not contract roles!

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze requirements from application development and cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical leadership, strategic guidance, and architectural expertise for assigned initiatives.
• Design and architect system solutions, including conducting Proof of Concept (POC) testing and documentation.
• Collaborate with other teams to develop architectural models prior to POC execution.
• Document, implement, and review IT policies, procedures, and architectural standards.
• Promote and facilitate discovery activities to identify system architecture improvements.
• Present architectural findings to management and staff to ensure alignment and continuity.
• Champion risk management practices, including disaster avoidance, change control, and problem management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, consistent with the scope of this role.
