System Service Representative - Customer Engineer\n Location: Guildford \n\nHours: Full Time \n\nPay: £30,000( Gross) a shift allowance of £14,000 per year (paid £1,166.67 per month before tax and deductions )\n\nJoin Our Client's Reputed Team!\n Our client is hiring for a friendly and professional System Service Representative to join their Customer Engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your technical support skills across a variety of multi-vendor hardware platforms, including servers, storage, network equipment, and more.\n \n What you'll be doing:\n * Providing hardware installation and break-fix support for diverse IT equipment in client environments.\n * Assisting senior engineers with technical support activities across products like hand-held devices, laptops, servers, and network gear.\n * Developing broad technical expertise in Data Centre hardware, including servers, power supplies, and storage solutions.\n * Working within a shift pattern that covers 24/7 maintenance, including late shifts and weekends, supporting clients effectively.\n * Following manual handling practices and using hand tools and test equipment to diagnose and resolve issues.\n * Maintaining security awareness and working independently to meet service level targets.\n * Communicating clearly with clients and team members, upholding the brand's professional image.\n \n What you'll bring:\n * Manual dexterity and ability to handle hardware safely and effectively.\n * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a creative approach to troubleshooting.\n * Flexibility to work varied hours and shifts, with full support from the team.\n * A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the designated regions.\n * Good IT knowledge and the ability to work independently while being supported remotely.\n * Excellent communication skills suited to engaging with different audiences.\n * Security clearance may be required.\n \n skills:\n * Troubleshooting expertise with proven resolution delivery.\n * Client-facing experience.\n * Experience working on multi-vendor products or Cisco network equipment is advantageous but not essential.\n \n What we offer:\n * Full training to build your technical support capabilities.\n * Opportunities to grow your skills in a dynamic environment.\n * Supportive team culture with flexible working hours.\n \n If you're eager to kick-start or advance your career in technical support and enjoy working in a collaborative environment, we'd love to hear from you!
