FOUR roles - intentionally not identical (one role needs to be second shift (approx. 10am–7pm, 11 AM - 8 PM):

2 baseline platform engineers (similar skill sets and scope)

1 engineer with stronger automation, debugging depth, or project leadership

1 specialized focus, potentially around liquid cooling or mechanical/system integration

Candidates may be stronger in different areas; the team values complementary skill sets rather than clones.

The team supports bring up, testing, validation, release, and lifecycle management of non production systems. Inherit newly built lab or data center environments after build out and ensure systems remain stable, operational, and test ready.

Platforms supported include:

o\tEnterprise (DGX, workstations, liquid cooled enterprise systems)

o\tTegra (Robotics and Automotive)

o\tCompute (build/compile servers; largely remote capable)

Engineers are expected to:

o\tWork hands-on with hardware

o\tDebug issues across hardware, OS, firmware, networking, and automation

o\tOwn systems end to end in failure prone, pre production environments

Core Responsibilities

Platform & System Ownership

•\tOwn the bring up, validation, and lifecycle management of pre production systems across:

o\tEnterprise platforms (DGX, workstations, liquid cooled enterprise systems)

o\tTegra platforms (Robotics, Automotive)

o\tCompute systems used for software build and compilation

Hardware & Software Debugging

•\tPerform advanced troubleshooting across:

o\tHardware (boards, GPUs, CPUs, interconnects)

o\tOperating systems (Linux variants and other OS environments)

o\tFirmware / flashing / board enablement

o\tNetworking & connectivity issues

•\tDebug systems that are intentionally non production and failure prone, ensuring issues are caught internally rather than by customers

Automation & Process Improvement

•\tUse scripting, tooling, and automation to:

o\tValidate platform health

o\tAccelerate bring up and testing workflows

o\tReduce manual, repetitive tasks

•\tContribute to SOPs and standardized processes in partnership with Infra/SRE and Data Center Operations teams

Lab & Data Center Interaction (Targeted)

•\tPerform hands on work on hardware, including:

o\tInstalling, configuring, and validating systems

o\tCoordinating with DC Ops for heavy lifting, racking, stacking, and cabling

•\tFollow strict handling procedures for pre production, high value hardware

•\tInterface closely with internal partners (IPP, enterprise teams, validation, software)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
