Position Title: Systems Engineer/Ground Controller
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Status: Full-time / On-site
Clearance: Secret with Top-Secret eligibility
Required Certification(s): IAT Level II (Security+, CySA+, etc.)

Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RTL Networks considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Summary: RTL Networks has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer/Ground Controller providing network hardware & software expertise in support of the Combined Orbital Operations Logistics and Resiliency program. The Systems Engineer/Ground Controller will be responsible for providing support to the Satellite Engineering Operations & Sustainment Support (SEOSS) team at the satellite factory in Sunnyvale, CA providing systems administration support and Ground Controller tasks for all Ground Controller efforts in the MASC.
Primary Responsibilities: Essential responsibilities of the Systems Engineer/Ground Controller include, but are not limited to:
- Reset user passwords.
- Adjust satellite position.
- Support satellite operations.
- Monitor telemetry systems.
- Resolve communication issues.
- Support data center operations.
- Support hardware deployment, troubleshooting, etc. to ensure system reliability.
- Support Project Engineer duties as needed (host meetings, update Jira, etc.).
- Support VTC deployment, troubleshooting, etc. to ensure system reliability.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree and 3+ years’ experience or bachelor’s with 5+ years’ experience or equivalent.
- Must meet DoD 8570 Information Assurance Workforce (IAWF) criteria or Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification at time of hire (i.e., Security+).
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time.
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level with ability to obtain Top-Secret. US Citizenship is a requirement for clearance at this location.
