We are hiring for an Inside Sales Representative on behalf of our client, a leading international manufacturer of electrical power monitoring hardware and software. In this role, you will act as the first point of contact for prospective customers, identifying opportunities through business development and managing inquiries for sales initiatives.
Location: Ashburn, VA
Schedule: Mon-Fri, standard business hours
Compensation: $35.00/hr
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with customers by making outbound calls and following up on inbound leads.
- Use your educational background to understand customer needs and identify qualified sales opportunities.
- Answer technical questions and provide additional information via email or phone.
- Work in a structured, metric-based role to achieve daily outreach quotas and monthly closed transactions.
- Proactively reach out to target customers via LinkedIn, email, and other digital channels.
- Maintain the customer management database and stay updated on product developments.
- Research and qualify new leads for upcoming events and product announcements.
- Support partner channels and ensure the optimization of the channel mix by geography and market segment.
Requirements:
- A background in electrical or IT fields, or 2 years of experience in technical sales or business development.
- Experience with electrical projects involving end users, OEMs, integrators, and partners.
- Familiarity with sales of technical electronic equipment related to low voltage power distribution and metering concepts.
- Knowledge of networking, PLC/HMI integration, and industrial communication protocols.
- The ability to write technical proposals, process tenders, and deliver presentations.
- Comfort with giving video recorded presentations for both remote and in-person audiences.
- Experience coordinating with and managing remote teams.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in electrical equipment sales.
- Experience working with industrial, data center, or utility customers.
- The ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- A willingness to travel for events and meetings across North America.
