Docklands based Data Centre Technical ManagerA global DC organisation requires a Technical Manager to take the helm of a major DC in the Docklands area.Ideally you will have mission critical facilities experience and relevant M&E quals which are essential for this post .Working closely with the Engineering team the Technical Manager role will be assisting Technical Services Manager for all day-to-day maintenance activities, including the Specialist Subcontractors, Suppliers and other support teams.The Technical Manager will be appointed for HV Electrical Systems.Keys TasksLogbook systems, maintaining statutory compliance monitoring, reactive task assignment.Risk Management Framework, through the effective management of SOP, MOP and EOPWorking to gain SAP level for HVOperate all systems within the buildings in a competent, effective and efficient manner (including HV isolations/operations). Having due regard to business risk and energy use. Making recommendations for improvement and providing concise technical reports when required.Technical development of all members of the engineering team to drive improvements engineering competency.Attend weekly operations meetings, client meetings as requested.Completing the Monthly and Quarterly Engineering ReportingDrive a culture within the team, where energy saving and environmental sustainability is a natural behaviour.Operation and troubleshooting for the following:HV & LV Electrical SystemsBuilding management system.Lighting Control system.

Emergency lighting.Air conditioning System, DFUs, FCUs, AHUs and ACUs.Air cooled Water ChillersFree Cooling / Dry Cooling TowersAdiabatic cooling systemVariable speed drivesBoilers and heating system.Single phase and three phase motors.Personal Qualities:Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Data Centre or Critical Environment operations.Practicing HV Authorised Person, regularly writing schedules and switchingRecognised qualification to a minimum City & Guilds level 3, BTEC, ONC or HNC level for Electrical/Mechanical engineering or equivalent discipline18th Edition IEE: Wiring and Installation (2 nd amendment )Strong communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff.Ability to lead, motivate and direct a small team of technicians/operatives.Proactive in achieving the highest standard of operation.Experience of safe systems of work including but not limited to, Limitations of Access, Fire Systems Isolation requests, permit to work and associated high-risk permits such as Low-Voltage (LV) and High Voltage (HV), Electrical & Mechanical Isolations, working at height, hot works, mechanical, high pressure, excavations & confined spaces.Working within a data centre environment with a good understanding of the following process & acronyms: SOP, MOP, EOP, OEM, S-MOP, CEP & SoSAbility to work under pressure whilst remaining calm, clear thinking and able to deliver the required services to the client within given time constraints.Interviewing now and looking to appoint ASAPTPBN1_UKTJ
