Technical Services Lead / Engineering Manager\n\nWe are partnering with a specialist mechanical contractor delivering complex Data Centre projects across Europe. The business is responsible for major pipework and plant installations on large-scale hyperscale and colocation facilities across the UK, Nordics, Germany, The Netherlands, and Spain.\n\nDue to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, they are looking to appoint a Technical Services Lead / Engineering Manager to play a key strategic role within the organisation.\n\nThis is a senior leadership position, working closely with the board to shape engineering strategy, strengthen technical governance, and scale the wider engineering function as the company continues to expand across Europe.\n\nThe Role\n\nThe successful candidate will lead the engineering function and oversee the BIM, CAD, and engineering teams, ensuring high technical standards across all projects. You will act as the key technical authority within the business, reviewing consultant designs, identifying and mitigating technical risks, and supporting the commercial team during major tenders before projects transition into operations.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\n * Leading and developing the engineering, BIM, and CAD teams\n\n * Reviewing consultant designs to ensure buildability, efficiency, and compliance\n\n * Assessing technical risks and engineering solutions during pre-construction\n\n * Providing technical leadership on major tenders and bids\n\n * Working closely with the board and senior leadership team to drive engineering strategy\n\n * Supporting project teams across multiple European data centre builds\n\nLocation\n\nThis role is UK-based, with two days per week in the Central London office and occasional travel to project locations across Europe .\n\nPackage\n\n£100,000 – £130,000\nCompetitive benefits package\n\nIf you’re interested in discussing this opportunity further, please apply below or get in touch for a confidential conversation
