Position Overview
The End User Documentation (EUD) Technical Writer is responsible for producing and maintaining SubCom customer-facing documents such as System Operations & Maintenance documents and product-specific Training Manuals. These documents are written to ensure safe and reliable use of SubCom-provided equipment and to meet contractually-required customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain EUD and on-line help via review of product requirements and interaction with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
- Use multiple documentation development software products, and maintain SubCom established styles, guidelines and desktop publishing processes.
- Create support graphics in multiple formats for within documents.

Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written Communication Skills are a must to interact efficiently with highly technical engineers and software developers.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite Programs, with a general understanding of basic graphics programs such as Adobe Illustrator and MS Visio.
- Familiarity with or interest in the use of AI tools to generate and update content.
- Work effectively in a team atmosphere as well as function independently with confidence.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the professional technical writing field, or a technical background with demonstrated writing proficiency.
