About the Practice
The Technology Transactions group advises on a wide range of commercial and strategic matters involving technology and intellectual property. The team regularly works on sophisticated agreements related to software, SaaS, cloud services, and digital infrastructure, while also supporting the technology aspects of broader corporate transactions.
Attorneys collaborate closely with corporate, IP, privacy, and regulatory teams to deliver integrated advice on issues such as licensing, commercialization, data use, and platform development. The practice offers a unique blend of standalone commercial work and deal-driven transactional support in fast-paced, innovation-focused environments.
The Opportunity
The firm is seeking a Technology Transactions Associate to join its Palo Alto or San Francisco office. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology matters, advising clients on both day-to-day commercial agreements and strategic transactions.
Associates in this role will draft and negotiate complex technology agreements, support M&A and investment transactions from a technology and IP perspective, and advise clients on data usage, ownership, and commercialization strategies. The position provides meaningful client interaction and exposure to high-growth companies and innovative business models.
Qualifications
- Experience in technology transactions at a law firm
- Strong background drafting and negotiating technology, licensing, and commercial agreements
- Experience supporting technology-related aspects of M&A or other strategic transactions
- Excellent academic credentials and strong communication skills
- Admission to the California Bar or ability to obtain admission
