Job Summary

We are looking for a Level III Installer open to travel nationwide, but much of the work is in the Northern Virginia the role also includes network element installation, fiber installation, and secondary DC power work.

Installer III – Key Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble, mount, and align Central Office (CO) and Data Center equipment.
  • Install, terminate, and test copper, fiber optic, and coaxial cabling.
  • Mount and label telecom equipment, relay racks, terminal blocks, and interconnect panels.
  • Perform basic DC power work, including fuse panels, power feeders, and power leads.
  • Read and interpret job specifications, wiring diagrams, floor plans, and installation drawings.
  • Perform cable verification, cable mining, and removal activities.
  • Conduct installation testing (power verification, continuity, Cat5/6, fiber loss, and system testing).
  • Lead and mentor Level 1 & 2 installers while coordinating with Project Managers and Engineering.
  • Ensure all work meets customer quality and installation standards.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 7–10 years of Central Office, Data Center, or MTSO installation experience.
  • 4–6 years as a Level 2 Installer or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of telecom installation practices, DC power, and basic electrical theory.
  • Experience using hand and power tools, test equipment, and installation materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring documentation.
  • Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems.
  • Clean driving record, ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Pay and Benefits

  • $25 - $29 per hour
  • $160 daily per diem
  • Paid transportation
  • Eligible first of the month following 60 days for health benefits
  • 401k match

Work Requirements

  • Willing to work nights, overtime, and flexible schedules as needed.
  • Travel required (up to 100% for Special Operations teams).
  • Ability to climb ladders, work under raised floors, cut/drill metal, lift up to 75 lbs., and work in confined spaces.
