The Role
Engineering Technician will be responsible for working and supporting the lab for product testing and data reporting on magnetic and electrical properties of MRAM samples. This position is also responsible for handling wafers, prober and tester setups and occasional maintenance work on the ATE and the probers. This work also includes processing and measuring the samples, reporting on the samples, performing minor test equipment repairs, and contacting vendors for PMs and repairs. Training will be provided in making measurements on various equipment and setup of lab test and production equipment.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Processing of test requests, including dicing of wafer samples.
- Setting up of HP83K ATE test systems and TEL wafer probers.
- XRD and XRR, FMR and VSM measurements.
- Entering data into computer systems
- Tracking PMs needed for test equipment.
- Minor test equipment repairs.
- Contacting vendors for test equipment maintenance and repairs.
Qualifications & competencies
- 2-year degree in a technical field. Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with handing, setting up and debugging electrical test equipment and familiarity with handling and measuring wafers for various experiments.
- Familiarity with ATE systems and wafer probers.
- Experience in managing minor equipment repairs and contacting vendors is desired.
