Position Summary

The Data Center Warehouse Trainer is responsible for coordinating, delivering, and tracking training programs for warehouse and logistics personnel supporting critical data center operation.
\n
\n
This role ensures employees are properly trained on operational processes, safety requirements, inventory management procedures, equipment operation, and company policies.
\n
\n
The Trainer partners closely with warehouse leadership and operations teams to execute training plans, onboard new employees, identify skill gaps, and promote consistent work practices across the operation. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator who enjoys developing others and driving operational excellence through training and employee development.

Responsibilities

Training Delivery & Execution
\n

- Facilitate onboarding and programs for new warehouse team members.
- Deliver instructor-led, hands-on, and on-the-job training for warehouse associates and logistics personnel.
- Execute training plans designed to support operational goals and workforce readiness.
- Ensure employees demonstrate competency in assigned job functions before working independently.
- Conduct refresher training sessions and retraining activities as needed.
- Support cross-training initiatives to increase workforce flexibility and operational coverage.

Warehouse Operations Training
\n
Train employees on warehouse processes including:

- Receiving and inbound material handling
- Inventory management and cycle counting
- Order fulfillment and material movement
- Shipping and outbound operations
- Material tracking and documentation
- Warehouse management system (WMS) procedures
- Quality and accuracy standards
- Data center inventory control requirements

Safety Training
\n

- Deliver safety training programs in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Train employees on:
- Forklift and powered industrial equipment awareness
- Material handling procedures
- PPE requirements
- Incident reporting procedures
- Hazard recognition
- Ergonomics and injury prevention
- Emergency response procedures
- Reinforce safety expectations through coaching and observation.

Training Administration
\n

- Maintain training records, attendance logs, certifications, and competency assessments.
- Track employee training completion and compliance requirements.
- Generate reports on training metrics and progress.

- Ensure training materials are current and aligned with operational practices.

Performance Support & Continuous Improvement
\n

- Monitor trainee performance and provide coaching and feedback.
- Partner with supervisors to identify skill gaps and development opportunities.
- Recommend improvements to training materials and delivery methods.
- Assist with developing standard work instructions, training guides, and job aids.
- Support workforce development initiatives and employee career progression.

Qualifications
\n
\n
Required
\n

- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, distribution, or training roles.
- Experience training or coaching employees in an operational environments
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to train and communicate effectively with diverse groups of employees.

- Experience in a data center, distribution center, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Knowledge of inventory control processes and material handling operations.
- OSHA 10 certification or other safety-related training credentials.
- Experience creating training materials, SOPs, or job aids.

Physical Requirements
\n

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout warehouse and data center facilities.
- Ability to conduct hands-on demonstrations in operational environments.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to work around forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
