About The Role
The MEP Project Manager will be responsible for profitably managing all administrative and field construction activities to quality standards while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders. This individual may oversee multiple medium-sized projects, a single large project, or a defined scope on a large, complex build. The role requires extensive travel and a proven ability to lead teams, manage MEP scopes, and deliver results in fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities
- Construct projects in accordance with plans, specifications, schedule, and quality standards
- Lead subcontractors and field staff to ensure safety, productivity, and collaboration
- Manage project safety in alignment with company safety policies and standards
- Work closely with Project Executives and Superintendents to oversee schedule, budget, and staffing
- Develop and maintain project schedules using scheduling software; prepare two-week look-ahead schedules
- Assist with subcontractor buyout and selection for MEP trades
- Review and enforce contract terms, obligations, and scope requirements
- Ensure project documents are accurate, complete, and compliant (submittals, RFIs, logs, closeout, etc.)
- Recommend strategies to reduce costs, improve schedules, mitigate risks, and enhance quality
- Maintain consistent communication with owners, designers, engineers, and subcontractors
- Mentor and develop team members to build capability and strengthen project delivery
Qualifications
- 3+ years of extensive field and project management experience within Data Center construction
- Strong background in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or building commissioning
- Quality control experience
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop others in a construction environment
Skills
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to analyze MEP systems and assess cost, schedule, and constructability impacts
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail
- Negotiation skills and strong business acumen for building client and trade relationships
Technology
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with Procore, JD Edwards (JDE), and Asta scheduling software
- Ability to learn and adopt new technology platforms as needed
