Position: Traveling Civil Foreman (Concrete Focus)

Location: 100% Travel – CA, OR, WA, AZ, TX, VA, AR
Schedule: 28 Days On / 8 Days Off • 6 Days/Week • 10-Hour Shifts
Pay: $35–$45/hr (DOE) + Overtime
Reports To: Superintendent

 

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Traveling Civil Foreman with a strong background in concrete construction to lead crews on substation and data center infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader experienced in structural and civil concrete work, including foundations, equipment pads, and underground infrastructure.

The Foreman will be responsible for driving daily production, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring all work is executed safely and efficiently across multiple job sites nationwide.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise crews performing concrete and civil work on substation/data center projects
  • Oversee concrete scopes, including:
    • Equipment foundations and transformer pads
    • Drilled piers, spread footings, and slab work
    • Formwork, rebar placement, anchor bolts, and embeds
    • Concrete pours, finishing, and curing processes
  • Manage site grading, trenching, and underground conduit installation in coordination with concrete operations
  • Plan daily activities, manpower, equipment, and material needs
  • Ensure work is completed on schedule, within scope, and to specification
  • Enforce OSHA and company safety standards at all times
  • Read and interpret civil drawings, structural plans, and specifications
  • Coordinate with Superintendents, PMs, inspectors, and subcontractors
  • Maintain quality control, including layout, elevations, and concrete tolerances
  • Ensure proper jobsite organization and crew productivity

 

Travel & Schedule Requirements

  • Must be willing to travel full-time nationwide
  • Work 6 days per week, 10-hour shifts
  • Follow a 28/8 rotation (28 days on, 8 days off)
  • Housing and travel expenses provided

 

Compensation & Benefits

  • $35–$45/hour (based on experience)

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in concrete construction for substations or data centers
  • Proven leadership as a Foreman or Lead on civil/concrete crews
  • Expertise in:
    • Structural concrete (foundations, pads, piers)
    • Rebar, formwork systems, and anchor bolt setting
    • Underground utilities and grounding systems
  • Ability to manage crews in remote, fast-paced environments
  • Comfortable working from plans, layouts, and survey points
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
