Traveling Construction Superintendent

We are partnering with a leading general contractor to support a large-scale data center project in Missouri and are seeking a Superintendent to join their field leadership team. This is a high-impact opportunity to work on a mission-critical project with a company known for delivering complex builds across the country.

This role is ideal for someone early in their superintendent career who wants exposure to large, fast-paced construction environments while working alongside experienced senior leadership.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate trade contractors and daily field operations to support project schedules, budgets, and execution plans
  • Review and ensure work aligns with contract documents, drawings, and specifications
  • Monitor ongoing work to ensure compliance with approved plans and quality standards
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, safety documentation, and project records
  • Support jobsite safety efforts, including orientations, audits, and enforcement of safety policies
  • Participate in project meetings to drive coordination and communication across teams
  • Track production, labor hours, and productivity; report and address variances
  • Assist with workforce planning, material procurement, and site logistics
  • Support cost tracking, forecasting, and overall field operations
  • Build strong relationships with owners, subcontractors, and field teams
  • Assist with onboarding, training, and field-level issue resolution
  • Support sustainability and environmental compliance initiatives

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • 0–5 years of experience in a superintendent or field leadership role
  • OSHA 30 Certification required
  • Experience on large commercial or mission-critical projects (data center experience is a plus)

 

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong communication and technical understanding of construction processes
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of construction documents, scheduling, and cost control
  • Experience working with both union and non-union labor environments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Commitment to maintaining a “safety-first” culture and zero-injury mindset
