Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead electrical construction efforts for data center and mission-critical facilities. The Electrical PM will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering complex electrical projects on schedule, on budget, and to rigorous quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with electrical construction, low-voltage systems, and the unique requirements of data center and mission-critical environments.

Compensation: Up to $150k base DOE + bonuses

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of electrical construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, and on-site crews to ensure work is performed to specifications, standards, and timelines.
  • Coordinate electrical design review, value engineering, and constructability assessments with engineering, design, and client teams.
  • Oversee installation and commissioning of power distribution, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, raceways, grounding, and low-voltage systems in mission-critical and data center environments.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, local codes) and company quality assurance/quality control processes.
  • Maintain rigorous safety oversight on job sites, enforce safety protocols, and coordinate safety training and reporting (OSHA standards).
  • Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, progress reports, meeting minutes, and as-built drawings.
  • Track and control project budgets, change management, cost forecasting, and procurement to achieve financial targets.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients, owners, and stakeholders, providing regular status updates and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Drive commissioning, testing, and handover activities to validate system performance and support client acceptance and warranty activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field ; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years of electrical construction experience with at least 3 years in a project management role; experience in data center or mission-critical facilities strongly .
  • Proven experience with low-voltage systems (fire alarm, security, structured cabling, BMS) and medium/high-voltage power distribution, switchgear, and standby power systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (NEC, NFPA) and construction industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, contracts, and subcontractors; experience with change order management and cost forecasting.
  • Experience with commissioning and testing procedures for mission-critical systems.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera) and collaboration software; proficiency with construction document review and basic electrical drawings (AutoCAD or similar).
  • Relevant certifications a plus: PMP, NICET, OSHA 10/30, State contractor licenses, or manufacturer commissioning certifications.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with a focus on client relationships and cross-functional coordination.
  • Ability to travel to job sites and work flexible hours as project needs require.
