Traveling Energy Marshal

Finish Line Staffing is seeking an experienced Energy Marshal with a large scale commercial electrical background for a data center project in Lithia Springs, Georgia.

Project: Mission critical data center

Pay: $55/hour + $125/day per diem

Schedule: 60+ hours per week

Duration: 6+ months | Temp to hire

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and coordination of energization, de-energization, and re-energization activities.
• Develop and review Methods of Procedure (MOPs) and action plans, including prerequisites, testing, hold points, and documentation.
• Review electrical drawings and equipment information to identify power sources, isolation points, redundant feeds, and potential backfeeds.
• Verify system readiness before energization and coordinate with the client, general contractor, commissioning team, safety personnel, and electrical leadership.
• Maintain accurate permits, equipment status records, and closeout documentation.
• Stop or postpone energization when conditions are unsafe or readiness requirements are incomplete.

Qualifications

• Strong large scale commercial electrical construction background; data center or mission critical experience strongly .
• Advanced knowledge of electrical distribution, safe switching, hazardous energy control, and LOTO.
• Experience with switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, transfer switches, switchboards, and panels.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and write clear MOPs and action plans.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 70E, arc-flash hazards, and electrical PPE.
• Ability to travel to Lithia Springs, GA, and work 60+ hours per week.
