Position Title: Traveling Safety Professional New Construction (Renewable Energy Projects)
Location: Nationwide Travel Required (U.S. Projects)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Contract / Project-Based

TRAVEL ROLE – RENEWABLE ENERGY FOCUSED

This position requires extensive travel across the U.S. supporting major projects.
Primary focus will be on Renewable Energy construction, including:

  • ☀️ Solar Farms & Utility-Scale Solar Projects
  • Wind Energy Projects
  • Data Centers & Energy Infrastructure

PAY: $45-48 AN HOUR DOE

PER DIEM: $100 - 7 DAYS WITH FULL WORKED SCHEDULED

Job Overview

We are seeking a Traveling Safety Coordinator with experience in renewable energy and large-scale construction projects. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a safe, compliant, and high-performing job site across solar, wind, and data center builds nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

Safety Leadership & Compliance

  • Lead and enforce the Site Safety Plan across renewable energy job sites
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and site-specific safety standards
  • Investigate all safety incidents and property damage cases
  • Submit reports to Senior EHS leadership
  • Promote a strong safety-first culture across all crews and subcontractors
  • Manage and lead the Safety Observation Reporting (SOR) Program

Daily Responsibilities

  • Conduct site walks, audits, and safety observations
  • Deliver daily safety briefings, including weather and job hazard awareness
  • Participate in stretch & flex programs
  • Support daily client Plans of the Day (PODs)

Weekly Responsibilities

  • Conduct site orientations for new personnel (as needed)
  • Lead weekly all-hands safety meetings
  • Attend internal project and coordination meetings

Monthly Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed site safety audits and inspections
  • Review leading and lagging indicators (velocity reports)
  • Assist in updating Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) with field leadership
  • Cross-train with Environmental Coordinator

Additional Duties (As Needed)

  • Support environmental compliance efforts
  • Assist with documentation, reporting, and audits
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Experience in construction safety, EHS, or field safety roles
  • Renewable energy project experience strongly (solar, wind, or data centers)
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and compliance practices
  • Ability and willingness to travel nationwide consistently
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • OSHA 510 required
