UPS / DC Battery Installation – Field Technician Lead

Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour (based on experience)
Full-Time | Heavy Travel | All Travel Costs Paid

Constant Power Technologies (CPT) is expanding and seeking an experienced Field Technician Lead to oversee UPS/DC battery installation projects at customer sites across the U.S. You will lead a crew performing battery removal, installation, testing, and maintenance in data centers, mines, telecom facilities, utilities, and industrial locations.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and supervise a crew during UPS/DC battery installation projects
  • Organize, assign, and delegate daily tasks to technicians
  • Ensure quality control and verify work meets safety and technical standards
  • Perform battery testing, audits, and troubleshooting using DC power meters
  • Load/unload batteries (20–800 lbs) with provided equipment (forklift certification available)
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment
  • Compile detailed end-of-job reports and document installation/testing results
  • Help plan workloads, schedules, and site logistics
  • Communicate project details clearly to the crew and maintain positive morale
  • Travel frequently, often on short notice, to customer locations
  • Other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years electrical experience
  • 3+ years DC power/battery experience
  • Ability to read and interpret multimeter readings
  • Proficient with Windows (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to lead crews and manage work quality and productivity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable, professional, and self-motivated
  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work flexible schedules and extensive travel
  • Able to lift 50 lbs routinely and work with heavy batteries using tools/equipment

What We Offer

  • Hourly pay: $25–$35/hr based on experience
  • Full-time schedule (varies by job). Most techs fly home on weekends
  • Per diem for food, rides, airport parking
  • All flights and housing paid for and arranged by CPT
  • Travel-heavy position with opportunities for advancement
