Role Description The Valve Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Geismar, LA. The Valve Technician will inspect, disassemble, repair, and reassemble a variety of industrial valves and related automation components, following company and customer specifications. Responsibilities include performing valve testing, calibration, and adjustments to meet process control requirements, as well as documenting work performed and maintaining accurate service records. The individual will support field service activities, assist with installation and commissioning of valves and actuators, and respond to troubleshooting requests for operational issues. This role also involves adhering to safety procedures, collaborating with engineering and operations teams, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Valve Repair and maintenance of industrial valves and actuated assemblies.

\n

• Experience in Field Service activities, including on-site inspection, installation, and commissioning of valve equipment.

\n

• Knowledge of Process Control principles as they relate to valve performance and system efficiency.

\n

• Ability to perform Calibration of valves, positioners, and related instrumentation to meet specified operating parameters.

\n

• Strong Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing mechanical, pneumatic, and control-related issues in valve systems.

\n

• Familiarity with industrial safety standards and safe work practices in plant or field environments.

\n

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and work instructions.

\n

• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

\n

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certificate or vocational training in mechanics, instrumentation, or a related field is .

\n

• Prior experience in oil and gas, power, chemical, or industrial plant settings is an advantage.
