Aboutthe role
Vendor Manager("VM") is a key member of the Climb Channel Solutions sales team whoserves as an extension of our vendor at the distribution level. The VM isaccountable for the overall vendor sales growth, the development of strategies& tactics to drive new reseller acquisition, implementing resellerenablement programs, and ensuring exceptional reseller experiences. They are atrusted advisor to Climb's 6,000+ Value Added Resellers across North Americaand play a vital role in amplifying key vendor messaging in the channel.
Duties &Responsibilities Outlined below are the responsibilities of the Vendor Manager,including but not limited to:
• Building,maintaining, and owning the strategic relationships with the vendor
• Serve assubject matter expert on all vendor products, services, and processes throughtraining/certifications
• Achieve keyperformance indicators that support vendor objectives for sales growth andreseller recruitment
• Focus onexisting reseller enablement through training programs to increase productknowledge and expand the solution mix
• Develop &maintain an excellent working knowledge of vendor processes, including partnerprice methods, deal registrations, up-sell/cross-sell positioning, and bestpractices around all quote-to-order functions
• Engage withthe Vendor field sales teams to align business development activities,understand their needs from a distributor, and ensure collaboration withClimb's field sales team
• Continuouslyengage with Climb's top Reseller's sales divisions to educate and promotevendor programs, provide sales support, and assist in closing opportunities, aswell as liaise with other vendor departments on behalf of our resellers
• Ensuring thatvendor renewal opportunities are quoted 90 days in advance and that a highrenewal rate/reseller retention is maintained
• Completepipeline reports, prepare management forecasts, and manage the end-of-monthopportunity watchlist
• Work closelywith Climb's Vendor Partner Managers & Marketing team to develop andexecute both Reseller & MSP lead marketing campaigns, takingpoint on all lead follow-ups
•Conduct/coordinate regular training, enablement, and certification sessions forthe Climb field and inside sales team
• Identify anddrive the execution of ease-of-doing business initiatives that support resellersatisfaction and business process improvement
• Participateand/or present at key Vendor, Reseller, and industry events, seminars, &workshops.
• Act as thecentral point of contact for all escalations and implement any requiredcorrective measures
• Monitor markettrends and changes in the technology industry, specifically around the vendor'sarea of expertise; investigate opportunities to capitalize on emerging trendsand high-growth segments

You will have aminimum of 1-2 years sales experience, a bachelor’s degree and authorized towork in the US. You will be proficient at communicating both written andverbal, with excellent organizational skills. You will have a strong desire tolearn new skills, comfortable using the computer including Microsoft Office,and have excellent attention to detail.

- Demonstrable record of sales success against quota
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Previous experience working at a value-added reseller or distributor.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, preferably Salesforce
- Proficiency with social media platforms, especially LinkedIn.
