The Vice President of Electrical Construction provides executive leadership and strategic direction for the company’s electrical construction operations, with extensive experience delivering complex commercial, healthcare, and mission-critical projects. This role is responsible for operational performance, project execution, safety, financial results, client relationships, workforce development, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical construction operations from preconstruction through project completion.
  • Oversee large-scale commercial, healthcare, data center, and mission-critical projects.
  • Establish project execution strategies, budgets, schedules, and performance objectives.
  • Provide executive oversight of project managers, superintendents, estimators, and field operations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with owners, general contractors, engineers, architects, and key clients.
  • Direct preconstruction, estimating, procurement, subcontractor management, and contract negotiations.
  • Monitor project financial performance, forecasting, profitability, change orders, and risk.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, contract requirements, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Champion safety programs and promote a strong safety culture across all operations.
  • Lead workforce planning, recruiting, mentoring, and development of electrical construction personnel.
  • Identify new business opportunities and support strategic growth initiatives.
  • Resolve complex project, contractual, scheduling, and operational issues.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to establish long-term business strategies and organizational goals.
  • Represent the company in high-level client meetings, industry events, and strategic negotiations.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive electrical construction experience, including senior leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven experience managing commercial, healthcare, and mission-critical/data center projects.
  • Strong understanding of electrical construction methods, estimating, scheduling, contracts, and project controls.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large project portfolios and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong financial, negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Business, or related field .
  • Experience with major electrical systems, commissioning, BIM/VDC, and complex MEP coordination .
