Vice President of Mission Critical
United States (Up to 45% Travel)
Full-Time | Executive Leadership
About the Role
We are seeking a Vice President of Mission Critical to lead and scale hyperscale data center construction initiatives across a platform. This executive will oversee high-performance project delivery, quality control, and strategic estimating support for large-scale mission critical programs.
This is a senior leadership role designed for a builder who has delivered hyperscale data centers at scale — not IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead execution of hyperscale data center construction programs (50MW–200MW+ campuses)
- Oversee mission critical project teams nationwide
- Provide executive oversight of QA/QC programs and ISO standards
- Ensure compliance with Uptime Institute Tier standards
- Support and enhance estimating capabilities for complex data center builds
- Guide electrical infrastructure strategy, commissioning, and integrated systems testing
- Mentor senior project managers and regional mission critical teams
- Partner directly with hyperscale clients and executive stakeholders
- Travel up to 45% nationally
Required Experience
- 5+ years leading hyperscale data center projects
- 15+ years total construction/mission critical experience
- Direct experience with hyperscale clients such as:

- Amazon Web Services
- Microsoft
- Meta
- Proven experience delivering $500M+ mission critical programs
- Strong background in electrical infrastructure systems
- Comprehensive knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Structured Cabling systems within hyperscale data center environments
- Demonstrated QA/QC leadership
- Ability to provide 5 professional references from hyperscale data center environments
Education & Credentials
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Electrical Engineering strongly
- Master’s degree (Engineering, Construction Management, or related)
- DCDC certification a plus

- Strong background in estimating, preconstruction strategy, and cost modeling
- Comfortable interfacing with C-suite hyperscale stakeholders
