Direct Concrete runs Concrete Genius Gen-5 mobile mass-flow concrete plants, closed-loop rigs that measure and adjust cement, water and admixtures in real time, on data center construction across the West Texas market. Batching on site to spec means no returned concrete, no waiting on a plant, and no compromise on a long pour. We are on active sites in Childress, Afton and Turkey today, and we are hiring experienced mix-on-site operators for those locations and for continued expansion across West Texas.

This is a specialized technical seat, not a general mixer-driver job. If you can calibrate a metering system, read a mix design, and adjust on the fly for slump and weather in the field, we will pay you like the specialist you are.

What you'll do

• Operate a volumetric concrete mixer truck to produce accurate, on-site mixes to project spec.
• Calibrate the volumetric metering system daily: cement, aggregate, sand, water and admixtures.
• Verify mix design accuracy against the ticket before and during every pour.
• Adjust the mix on the fly for field conditions, slump requirements and weather. This is the core skill of the job and the reason the seat pays what it does.
• Run pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the rig, including auger, water system, conveyor and metering components.
• Load and stage raw materials at the batch plant or yard.
• Coordinate with the Site Superintendent, Project Manager and dispatch on pour volume, timing and site access.
• Keep accurate delivery tickets, batch records and material usage logs for every load.
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical and metering issues in the field, and escalate major concerns to the Equipment Manager.
• Wash out and clean the rig at the end of every shift.
• Work to DOT regulations, including hours of service and pre-trip documentation.
• Mentor less experienced operators on volumetric technique as our fleet grows.

What you'll earn:

• $120,000 per year, guaranteed base.
• A production incentive on sustained high-volume data center pours, paid on top of that base.
• Total earning potential of $120,000 to $180,000 per year. The upper end is for top performers on sustained high-volume work. We walk through the exact earnings model and the numbers at your interview.
• Relocation and housing assistance is available for the right candidate.

Who we're looking for:

• Prior mix-on-site mixer experience is required: Cemen Tech, ProAll / ProAll Reimer / Terex, Holcombe / Holcombe CVI, Zimmerman, Bay-Lynx, Concrete Genius, or similar volumetric or mass-flow systems. We run Concrete Genius Gen-5 and will train you on our platform.
• Working knowledge of concrete mix designs, particularly foundation and slab work.
• Comfortable performing operator-level field maintenance and troubleshooting away from a shop.
• A valid CDL and a motor-vehicle record that meets our insurability standards.
• Willing to relocate to the West Texas market and commit to it long term.
• OSHA awareness and a serious commitment to jobsite safety and PPE.

Adjacent backgrounds we welcome: ready-mix mixer drivers with strong mechanical aptitude, batch plant operators, concrete pump operators, and short-load or mix-on-site drivers ready to move up into a specialist seat.
