Remote Options: Chicago, IL • Dallas, TX • Birmingham, AL Join a global construction powerhouse specializing in mission-critical data center builds across the U.S. and internationally. This is a high-impact, strategic leadership role where you’ll shape the financial infrastructure of one of the most dynamic and rapidly growing sectors in the world. As VP, Controller, you’ll drive financial strategy, oversee all aspects of project accounting, and collaborate with senior executives to support large-scale, technically complex construction programs. This role reports directly to the SVP of Accounting and partners closely with the CFO and broader leadership team.

What You’ll Do
• Lead with Vision: Build and mentor a high-performing accounting organization, fostering excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Strategize for Growth: Develop and implement best-in-class financial controls, systems, and compliance programs tailored to the construction industry.
• Drive Performance: Oversee job costing, contract compliance, revenue recognition, and project financial performance across all construction operations.
• Optimize Systems: Leverage Procore and NetSuite to streamline processes, automate reporting, and enhance financial visibility across divisions.
• Operational Finance Leadership:
o Manage forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow for large-scale construction projects.
o Lead revenue recognition and billing accuracy in partnership with project accountants.
o Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, procurement, and project management to ensure alignment and financial integrity.

What We’re Looking For
• 7+ years of progressive financial leadership experience within construction accounting.
• Proven track record building and leading high-performing teams.
• Deep understanding of GAAP, job costing, WIP reporting, and revenue recognition.
• CPA required.
• Experience with Procore (required) and NetSuite ().
• Strong change management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
