We are seeking a proven leader to serve as VP of Data Center Operations (DCO), responsible for driving “Best in Class” performance, 100% uptime, and operational excellence across our mission-critical infrastructure. This executive role oversees critical systems at the prime campus level and reports directly to the EVP of Critical Systems.

Competitive base salary starting at $200,000 and higher, depending on experience, plus a bonus structure

Job Details

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead operations of power, cooling, and mechanical/electrical infrastructure, ensuring reliability and compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement through R&D, performance analysis, and adoption of innovative technologies.
  • Oversee teams responsible for monitoring, maintenance, audits, and regulatory compliance.
  • Build strong client relationships, serving as a trusted partner in delivering seamless uptime.
  • Manage budgets, vendor partnerships, and executive reporting to support strategic planning.
  • Mentor and develop high-performing teams while fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or Business with significant data center experience ().
  • 6+ years in data center or critical facility management, with hands-on knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems (UPS, generators, switchgear, PDUs, HVAC, fire suppression, etc.).
  • Proven track record leading large teams and driving operational strategy in mission-critical environments.
  • Strong executive presence with outstanding communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Industry certifications and deep knowledge of safety/OSHA compliance are highly valued.
  • Must be available 24/7 for emergencies.
