About the Role

We're seeking an exceptional VP, Global Head of Business Development to lead Twitch's BD function. In this role, you'll drive the strategic vision and execution for partnerships and deals that power the Twitch ecosystem, spanning gaming, music, platforms, commerce, developer relations, and content. Reporting directly to Twitch’s CEO, you'll own the end-to-end BD function, ensuring partnerships ladder up to meaningful outcomes for Twitch's business, creators, and community rather than serving any single function in isolation.

As a seasoned executive and cross-functional operator, you'll bring legal and financial literacy, sound business judgment, and the ability to direct teams toward the highest-impact work for Twitch. You'll lead a team of experienced BD professionals who require a leader proficient across multiple domains (financial modeling, legal frameworks, marketing positioning, product/technical knowledge) and who can earn trust across the executive team while delivering results. Your scope encompasses game publisher partnerships, music rights and licensing, platform distribution, payment/payout ecosystems, developer relations, and content acquisition, all in service of growing Twitch's cultural relevance and economic opportunity for creators.

This role also carries responsibility for GTM planning and ensuring the BD function operates with accountability, discipline, and a results-oriented mindset. You'll define what success looks like for each BD vertical, ensure the team is data-driven in measuring outcomes, and partner closely with Finance, Legal, Product, Marketing, and Partnerships to execute deals that move the business forward.

You Will

Strategic Leadership:

- Own the multi-year BD strategy and roadmap, focused on accelerating the Twitch flywheel—balancing growth, revenue, engagement, and creator/community value across all partnership verticals while proactively sourcing new, large, and scalable business opportunities
- Serve as a key member of the executive team, partnering directly with the CEO on company strategy development, annual planning, and strategic priorities
- Drive GTM planning efforts in collaboration with Marketing and Partnerships, ensuring accountability for business outcomes and responsible use of resources
- Define success metrics and establish rigorous frameworks for measuring partnership impact on revenue, engagement, and strategic positioning

Partnership Development & Deal Execution:
- Lead the Games & Content BD team in establishing Twitch as the center of gaming culture’s live moments - partnering with game publishers and developers to build differentiated community experiences including in-game rewards, co-marketing, and program activations (e.g. Rivals, Drops Fest, TwitchCon)
- Oversee the Twitch Music Relations business, partnering with audio scanning partners, labels, publishers, and performance rights organizations to enable creators simultaneously developing Twitch as a key strategic promotional partner to the music industry via Programs and artist activations
- Direct Product & Platform BD in negotiating and managing relationships with payment/payout providers, distribution platforms, social platforms, and other non-endemic partnerships (e.g., assurance)
- Manage premium content providers activations on Twitch including major publishers and tournament operators, managing rights agreements, co-streaming, and monetization opportunities (e.g. sponsorship and advertising/share of voice executions)
- Oversee the developer ecosystem strategy including Extensions, embeds, APIs, and the Developer Services Agreement framework to scale partnerships without custom terms. This includes enabling, influencing, and enforcing third-party developer innovation to better serve Twitch communities—acting as the conduit between external developers and internal teams offering 3P developer products/services.
- Support the end-to-end execution of Twitch Rivals (online and live events) and one-off production/event initiatives that spotlight creators, specific communities, or strategic moments on the platform to grow the business.

Team Leadership:
- Build, mentor, and retain a world-class team of BD professionals across Music, Games & Content, Product & Platforms, and Developer Relations
- Establish a culture of accountability, discipline, urgency, and high standards, ensuring team members are data-driven, know their business, and are focused on results over activity
- Drive QBR cadence and performance management that ensures continuous improvement, clear reporting on impact, and the ability to pivot based on data
- Develop talent through coaching, feedback, and growth opportunities across a team of experienced professionals

Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Management:
- Partner with Finance and Legal (G&A) on deal reviews, memo approvals, and financial modeling for partnerships
- Collaborate with Product leadership (Community, Platforms, Monetization) to ensure BD work supports product roadmaps and vice versa
- Align with Marketing and Partnerships (GTM) on go-to-market strategies, promotional campaigns, and sales-related partnerships
- Navigate complex deal structures spanning Amazon Ads monetization, sales-rights, sponsorship packaging, and cross-org boundary issues
- Manage Amazon-level requests, exploratory conversations, and filtering to ensure the team is focused on highest-value opportunities
