We are currently looking for a VP of Infrastructure and Power to join our team
Compensation
Expected Salary (NYC): $200,000 - $250,000 USD
What you can expect in this role:
We are seeking a dynamic, experienced Vice President of Infrastructure & Power to lead our power strategy in the PJM market and the development of High Performance Computing (HPC) data center assets. This executive role will be instrumental in transitioning our company into the rapidly growing HPC sector through the optimization and expansion of our existing interconnection and assets, while also building a pipeline of additional capacity via new interconnections and power within the highly desirable PJM energy market.
More specifically, here are some of the key responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Business Development
- Lead infrastructure and power projects across the USA, with the primary focus on PJM.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of new energy capacity by identifying and securing power and fiber infrastructure in prime strategic locations.
- Support the company's strategic transition into the high-performance computing sector through its existing energy asset portfolio.
- Develop long-term strategic partnerships with utilities, government entities, and technology providers.
Project Management & Operations
- Oversee all aspects of infrastructure and power development from securing power through to commissioning and operations.
- Manage complex multi-billion-dollar infrastructure projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, construction, legal, and finance to achieve project objectives.
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies and utilities to secure necessary permits, interconnection agreements, and fiber connectivity.
Contract Management & Risk Assessment
- Prepare and manage RFP's across the entire infrastructure and power development stack.
- Review, negotiate, and manage construction & service provider contracts, power purchase agreements, and ISP agreements.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for infrastructure investments and development projects.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key contractors, suppliers, and service providers.
- Ensure all projects comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Here's the profile we're looking for:
Education & Professional Background
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Gas/Oil-related Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working directly with electric / gas power utilities, with preference for PJM market experience.
- Minimum 5 years of proven project management experience leading large-scale infrastructure or construction projects.
- Experience reviewing, negotiating, and managing construction, power, and fiber contracts.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or advanced technical certifications.
- Previous experience in the HPC or data center industry.
Technical Expertise
- Deep understanding of electric power systems, transmission infrastructure, and utility operations within deregulated markets.
- Knowledge of the PJM market, capacity planning, load study, and interconnection processes.
- Familiarity with HPC data center design, construction, power density, and operational requirements.
- Experience with renewable energy integration and sustainability initiatives.
- Familiarity with FERC regulations and RTO/ISO market structures.

Leadership & Management Skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex, multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing large capital budgets.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
Work Environment & Travel Requirements
- Office Presence: NYC-based role from our Manhattan office
- Travel Requirements: Travel to project sites across the US and Canada as needed for project oversight and stakeholder meetings
