Operating from our newly acquired 400,000ft2 facility in Williamsburg, Virginia, we aim to double in size each year for the next three years.

About The Role:
The Warehouse Receiving Team Leader is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the goods-in department. This role ensures that all incoming stock is received, inspected, processed, and stored accurately and efficiently in accordance with company procedures. The Team Leader will oversee a team of warehouse operatives, provide guidance, and maintain high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
We need you to ensure we build an exemplary team with repeatable quality and efficiency into everything we produce which is central in allowing us to scale our US operations in a balanced and consistent manner.
What You'll Be Doing:
Team Leadership:
· Supervise, coach and motivate a team of receiving operatives to achieve daily and weekly targets.
· Allocate and prioritize tasks for the team, including unloading, checking, labelling, and putting away stock.
· Provide on-the-job training for new staff and ongoing coaching for existing team members.
· Manage team performance, addressing issues and providing constructive feedback.
· Ensure the team follows all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
· Utilize a hands-on, collaborative leadership style to your team, leading by example at all times.
Goods-in Operations:
· Manage the end-to-end goods-in process, from offloading vehicles to the final put-away of stock.
· Ensure deliveries are accurately checked against the packing list for correct quantities / products.
· Inspect deliveries for damage and discrepancies and report any issues promptly to management.
· Use a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to book in and track all received stock.
· Ensure all stock is labelled and located correctly to maintain inventory accuracy.
· Operate and oversee the use of all warehouse equipment in a safe manner.
· Standardize work processes to improve quality, reduce waste, and increase throughput.
Compliance and Reporting:
· Maintain a clean, organized, safe and audit ready working environment, enforcing adherence to all EHS regulations.
· Conduct regular quality checks on incoming goods.
· Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the goods-in area, such as receiving efficiency, put-away time, and inbound accuracy.
· Collaborate with other departments, such as inventory control and dispatch, to ensure a smooth flow of goods.
· Assist in stock takes and cycle counts as required.
· Promote a culture of Continuous Improvement across all levels and departments of the organization.
Requirements
What You’ll Need:
· Supervisory Warehousing qualification.
· 5+ years of experience in Receiving within a high-mix, low-volume environment.
· Proven track record developing and leading successful teams
· Demonstrated commitment to ensure our business goals and your functional goals are met / exceeded.
· Highly energetic with the ability to empower your team to drive CEL to be the best supplier in our industry.
· Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
· Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks and push carts a must
· Counterbalance and / or Reach Forklift Truck license
· Knowledge of lean techniques or process improvement methodologies.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 lbs. safely and efficiently.
Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Ability to operate hand tools and equipment as required.
