The ideal candidate will have experience in the facilities/building maintenance industry and understand the specific safety issues inherent to the industry.
Pay: $70,000.00 + /Annual
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. An offer will vary based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

- Conducts waste audits
- Conducts educational presentations and outreach
- Performs on site-waste consultations
- Trains sorter, faculty, students, and restaurant staff on proper sorting
- Develops, analyzes, and revises standard operating procedures related to waste management
- Prepares compliance and waste audit reports using data collection, analysis and interpretation, as well as narrative summaries; ensures monitoring and tracking of sorting programs and oversees audits
- Coordinates the purchase, proper use, maintenance, and inspection of necessary safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) for sorters
- Facilitates a work environment that promotes a sustainable culture
- Acts as an advisor to the entire management team on best zero waste practices
- Oversees the sorting program
- Perform data entry in the work order systems.
- Create and track purchase orders in the accounting system.
- Performs other administrative duties
Requirements
- Bachelor’s preferably in Environmental Studies/Science, Sustainability, OR equivalent years of experience
- Strong data and analytic skills; ability to translate data into actionable intelligence
- Thorough knowledge of San Francisco Zero Waste regulations
- Demonstrates exemplary customer service and excellent verbal, written, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to train, influence and motivate team members
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with people from various backgrounds
- Bilingual in English, Spanish, Cantonese/Mandarin is a plus
- Graphic design is a plus, but not required
- Basic knowledge of PowerPoint and excel
- Presentation skills
- Flexibility in schedule
