Position: Welder (TIG)

Location: Colchester, VT 05446

Employment type: Contract to Perm

Shift: 3:30 pm to 2 am (Mon to Fri 15% differential for 2nd shift)

Job Description:

As a TIG Welder on 2nd shift, you’ll be a key part of a team that supports cutting‐edge projects in industries like semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and data centers. In this role, you’ll set up your work area, verify materials, and perform TIG welding on stainless steel and carbon steel to meet daily quality and production goals. You’ll also troubleshoot welding equipment and follow proven safety and quality practices like Lean Manufacturing and 5S. We value continual learning and encourage you to grow your skills on the job. Responsibilities:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience performing GTAW (TIG)

• Strong GTAW (TIG) welding skills and a knowledge of how all the equipment operates

• Able to read and understand cut sheets and engineering prints thoroughly

• Knowledge of basic metallurgy and weld symbols

• Able to speak and understand English, with a focus on following directions, adhering to basic shop safety procedures, and meeting production standards

• Knowledge of basic sheet metal layout

• Math skills include basic arithmetic and geometry

• Can accurately read a tape measure to 1/16"

• Frequent standing, bending, sitting, and use of hands is required

• Specific vision abilities required to include close vision, and ability to adjust focus

• Occasionally perform physical activities including lifting (up to 50 lbs. unassisted)

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
