33kV Electrical Engineer\n\n Location: UK-wide (Remote with site visits)\n Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent\n Salary: Competitive + Car Allowance + Bonus + Excellent Benefits\n\nAre you an experienced electrical engineer ready to lead with purpose in a fast-growing, forward-thinking utilities business?\n\nWe're looking for a 33kV Electrical Engineer to take ownership of high-voltage distribution projects across the UK. You'll play a key role in designing and delivering HV networks for renewable energy, utilities, battery storage, and data centre infrastructure - from early-stage design through to commissioning.\n\nThis is a high-impact role with real autonomy, technical leadership, and the opportunity to mentor and develop a growing electrical team.\n\n What You'll Be Doing\n\nDesign & Technical Responsibilities\n\nLead the electrical design of 33kV networks for solar farms, wind farms, BESS, and data centres\nProduce and review single-line diagrams, cable sizing, protection schemes, and earthing designs\nLiaise with DNOs, IDNOs, consultants, and contractors to secure approvals\nEnsure compliance with G99/G100, ENA standards, BS7671, and IEC regulations\nSupport HV equipment specification, procurement, and FAT/SAT processesProject Management Responsibilities\n\nOversee project delivery from pre-construction to final commissioning\nManage schedules, budgets, and risk registers\nConduct site visits, chair progress meetings, and ensure QA/QC standards\nMaintain HSE compliance and manage stakeholder relationships\n\n What We're Looking For\n\nMinimum 5 years' experience in 33kV HV design and/or project engineering\nProven track record in utility-scale renewables or high-demand infrastructure\nStrong understanding of UK DNO/IDNO grid connection processes\nProficiency in AutoCAD and relevant design software\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills\nWillingness to travel to project sites across the UK\nProject Management certification (desirable)\nExperience with HV switchgear, protection relays, and SCADA integration (desirable)\n\n What's in It for You\n\nCompetitive salary + annual bonus scheme\nCompany car or car allowance\n30 days' holiday, increasing to 35 with service\nLife assurance - 4x salary\nCashback plans for health & wellness\nGym, fitness, and retail discounts\n"Donate a Day" - an extra day off for charity or community work\nOngoing mentoring and career development\nInclusive, people-first culture with long-term career prospects\n\nReady to energise your career?\n\nApply now to be part of a business that's powering the UK's future infrastructure
